"The Round Pen"
Movement Direction Connection
Use Round Pen techniques to build a
True Connection between you and your horse or mule
Round Penning makes use of the natural "hard-wiring" of the equine mind to look for a leader, and to accept the leadership of the one who can move his/her feet.

"Ground Work
You Ride the Horse You Lead
Learning to communicate effectively with your horse or mule, using only halter and lead rope, lays a solid foundation for safe and pleasurable riding and driving.
Problems on the ground invariably predict problems under saddle or in harness. If you can direct your horse or mule from the lead rope, you'll have no problems in the saddle.
Shying, running off, "barn sour" resistance, pushiness, balkiness, over-excitability, panicking - all these and other common problems can be safely and effectively worked out through halter work on the ground.

- She was hard to catch

- She broke away while being led
