These soaps are hand made using the Cold Process method and are made from a variety of vegetable oils, including Canola, Safflower, Soy, Coconut, Olive and Castor Oil. Each oil has it's own properties, and when used in different combinations the different soaps have different properties. All of our soaps are long lasting.

Home-made soaps are true "soap" - compared to super-market type "ordinary" "soaps" which are actually not "soap" at all, but are "detergents", as they are made from petroleum products. The common super-market type bars of "soap" also have the majority of their glycerin removed, and the glycerine is sold as a seperate product. Glycerin is a natural by-product of "soap making". In home-made soaps, all the natural glycerin remains in the soap. Glycerin is the moisturizing agent in soaps. This is why home-made soaps are not drying like store-bought "soaps" are.

High quality cosmetic grade fragrances are added to our soaps, to give them a variety of tempting fragrances.

Some of our soaps are "scrubbie" soaps. In these soaps we add either coffee grounds or oatmeal to provide the "scrubbie" effect, which acts as an exfolient and feels so good.

Some of our soaps have triple strength brewed coffee in them in place of the water. Coffee acts as a deodorant in that it "sucks" up odors. Coffee soaps are great in the kitchen for getting onion and garlic smells off your hands. Combined with coffee grounds, these soaps are a favorite with mechanics also.

The types and fragrances of soaps we have changes all the time - as the whim hits. If you discover a favorite, and want to make sure you can get more of it, please let us know so that we can make sure that we keep offering it. We will also make up special order batches whenever possible, so don't hesitate to ask for something that you don't see here.
